Meet Charity Grimm Krupa

Charity Grimm Krupa was born into a military family with deep generational roots in the Smithfield area. While she began her life as an Army baby near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Charity grew up in a farming family right here in our community.

Her mom and dad were first-generation college graduates in their families. Her mother is a nurse and her father, who served in the Army Special Forces, first became a schoolteacher and then an attorney. Both of her grandfathers were coal miners – and one served as a township supervisor.

Her upbringing inspired a lifetime of service for her and her siblings. One brother served as an Army Airborne Ranger, one is a Lt. Colonel in the Marine Corps, and another serves as an elected township supervisor.

It's a family driven to work hard, give back, serve others, and fight for what’s right.

That’s why honesty, integrity, and a life based on her Christian faith drive Charity – as a mother, wife, trusted local attorney, and public servant. She and her husband both grew up on family farms and raised their children on their own farm among Black Angus and Scottish Highlander cattle, and crops of hay and various vegetables – with horses, hogs and a trio of dogs as well.

Today, Charity serves local families as an attorney standing up for the rights of our citizens.  She knows we must stand with our police and law enforcement while still protecting innocent civilians from government overreach, illegal search and seizures, and encroachment on our constitutional rights.

After graduating from West Virginia College of Law, she began her career serving as a law clerk to Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Judge Steve P. Leskinen. She will use her experience inside and outside our courtrooms to protect our God-given and Constitutional rights against the woke agenda and big city politicians who threaten our way of life.

As a lawyer, mom, and community volunteer, Charity knows the challenges local families face and is running for the State House to stand up to the career politicians. She will fight for commonsense changes to reduce inflation and make life more affordable for every working family through controlled spending, less regulation, and policies that increase opportunities for good paying jobs.

Our community has also trusted Charity to make our children’s schools stronger as an Albert Gallatin School Board member.  There, she never voted for a tax increase, won the fight for increased transparency, and worked to end nepotism and insider hiring. In the State House, she will stand up to the radical left and make sure our children are taught facts and figures, not CRT and leftist ideology. And she will always focus on keeping our kids safe in school.

Charity’s husband, Brian, is a brick and stone mason, as well as a taxidermist and farmer. Together, they are the proud parents of three children – the oldest just started a four-year nursing program at Penn State Fayette and the younger two currently attend school in the Albert Gallatin Area School District from which Charity herself graduated. They are active members of the Church of Christ in Point Marion.

Charity is a Penn State graduate who previously served as an Assistant Fayette County Public Defender. She is a life member of the National Rifle Association.
